At the APEX Board Meeting on April 13, 2010, Master Bert announced in the Chairman's report that the internal investigation into the subject of the missing funds has been completed, and a police report has been filed. The matter is now in the hands of the law, and the Board is unable to further comment on the nature of the legal investigation.
Master Bert also announced that the interim board would be stepping down by the end of April. Members of the community with Human Resources experience were asked to help Bert and Nadine interview the candidates who responded to the help wanted ad that appeared on the cover of the March newsletter. After the interview process, eight candidates were selected to attend a board forming retreat, where they will be given the opportunity to work together, get to know each other, and then opt in to serving on the next Board of APEX. The new Board will be in place by the end of April.

At a special APEX Board meeting on April 24th 2010 following the Board development retreat, the interim board has stepped down and handed over the organization to a newly elected Board.
All eight candidates invited to attend this Board development retreat have answered the call and agreed to serve on the new Board.
